White Wines

Sauvignon Blanc, La Doutelle, France 2011 £17.50 per bottle

This wine exhibits fantastic rich varietal flavours; pronounced aromas of green apples followed by rich, dry greengage and grapefruit characteristics with a long elegant finish.

Pinot Grigio, La Casada, Italy 2011 £19.50 per bottle

What can we say, great Pinot Grigio – fresh and crisp with an appley melon twist. Everything you would expect in a Pinot Grigio and a lot more!

Chardonnay, Barrel Fermented, Castillo de Monjardin, Spain 2008 £26.45 per bottle

A golden yellow colour provides the clue to the ageing process, as well as the complex aromas of its bouquet. Smooth on the palate and very elegant!

Gewürztraminer, Los Gansos, Cono Sur, Chile 2012 £29.95 per bottle

Aromatic and floral on the nose and fabulously fruity on the palate with notes of lychees, peaches and apricots. Expressive and fresh – a must with Oriental, Asian and spicy food.

Sauvignon Blanc, Seifried Estate, New Zealand 2012 £25.50 per bottle

A lovely fragnant gooseberry nose and then fresh, fruity flavours with zingy acidity. Opulent and refreshing, this is a tantalising wine.

Sancerre Blanc, Le Chatenai, France 2009 £29.45 per bottle

Carefully crafted in a classic style, this is a dry and elegant wine, very well balanced. Fresh grassy aromas followed by citrus fruit, finishing with the pure mineral intensity and zippiness that you’d expect in a classic Sancerre.

Red Wines

Merlot, La Doutelle, France 2011 £17.50 per bottle

This shows exactly what Vin de Pays wines should be about: a fruity yet earthy wine that can be enjoyed with a variety of meals. Round and well-balanced with plum and berry flavours and a smooth finish, all supported by ripe tannins.

Tempranillo, Tinto Quintana, Spain 2010 £19.50 per bottle

Soft, chocolatey Tempranillo fruit rounded out and spiced up by a year in oak barrels. Mellow and medium weight.

Shiraz, Los Gansos, Cono Sur, Chile 2011 £21.95 per bottle

This Merlot has an intense plum colour, a fruity blackberry aroma with light hints of toasted oak, intense sweet fruit flavours and a very well structured body. The perfect pairing with red meat, young cheese and sauces. Delicious.

Cotes du Rhone, Parcelles 38, Vignobles Jermone Quiot, France 2008 £27.95 per bottle

A blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, this is serious Cotes du Rhone, being full flavoured and having the structure to support the ample fruit. Delicious drinking.

Pinot Noir, Seifried Estate, New Zealand 2010 £24.95 per bottle

Easy drinking wine with full fruit on the nose with a hint of cigar box and rich dry flavour with just a whisper of raspberries and excellent length.

Chateau de la Devine, St. Emilion, Bordeaux, France 2008 £37.95 per bottle

70% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. A soft, smooth and silky St. Emilion. Beautiful ruby red in colour, with an expressive nose of red berries and white flowers leading to a soft, fruity palate.

Half Bottles – White (375ml)

Sauvignon Blanc, Santa Ema, Maipo Valley, Chile 2010 £12.95

Apple and peach notes with a hint of anise

Half Bottles – Red (375ml)

Cabernet Sauvignon, Santa Ema, Chile 2010 £12.95

Absolutely jam packed with blackcurrant fruit.

Rosé Wine (750ml)

Merlot Rose, Castillo de Monjardin

Raspberry and vanilla aromas along with just a touch of stem and stalkiness. Flavours of cherry and nectarine are full and borderline cloying, but with medium-level acidity there’s enough of a counterbalance.

Sparkling Wine and Champagne (750ml)

Prosecco Barroco NV, Italy £23.95

This wonderful Prosecco from the Veneto region of Northern Italy is perfect for any special occasion. It shows peachy fruit character and a gentle mouth feel and while this would make a lovel aperitif, it has enough character to accompany many shellfish dishes too.

Champagne Perrier Jouet Grant Brut NV £38.95

Pale yellow in colour with a steady stream of fine, lively bubbles. Fine and elegant aromas of white flowers, fresh fruit and hints of vanilla lead into a powerful yet elegant and rounded palate with plenty of length and style.

Laurent Perrier Champagne NV £59.95

Rich, soft, elegant and creamy with wonderful biscuit finish.

Louis Roederer NV £23.95 (35.7cl)

Vibrant, fresh and generous with long lasting, rounded, rich and complex flavours. A classic.
