Invented by the seventh Duchess of Bedford to stop her hunger pangs between lunch and dinner back in the 1800's, afternoon tea has become quite the thing to do when enjoying a leisurely hour or two with your friends and loved ones.

A selection of sandwiches served on soft white or malted grain bread including:

Honey glazed ham with mango salsa
Spiced Cajun chicken with sour cream
Brie, apple and celeriac mayonnaise
Egg mayonnaise and mustard cress
Smoked salmon with lemon and caper butter on granary bread.

Home baked traditional and fruit scones served with clotted cream and choice of preserves

Home baked fruit loaf

Fruit tartlet, chocolate éclair and meringues

Served with a selection of teas or freshly ground coffee.
